GEOFF VELANDO | GV CREATIVE

I am a Colorado native that currently works and lives in the Denver area freelancing in Film/Video, Photo, and Audio/Visual. While home based in Denver, I also have traveled across the U.S. and to other parts of the world for work and continue to do so when the opportunities arise.

In 2012, I began attending Colorado Film School and CU Denver, focusing on Cinematography and ultimately graduating with a BFA in Film & Television in addition to a Minor in Photography. 

Since graduating in 2016, I have been working the A/V industry as a Rigger and since 2018, a Lead Rigger for Encore Global. With the changes that 2020 brought and the crash of the event industry during that time, I decided to transition back towards working as a full-time Freelance Cinematographer. I also work as a Camera Operator, 1st AC, 2nd AC, Gaffer, and Grip. I continue to work in Rigging and other A/V related jobs as they are still parts of my skillsets, but I am proud to be able to incorporate the two similar, but also different technical abilities from each background and use them interchangeably for each work scenario as needed.
